Plus, we're updating our terms and conditions
| | | |
| News and important changes to our terms and conditions |
| | | |
| Dear Clement,
Just a quick but important one from us: we’re legally required to notify you about some changes to our terms and conditions happening from 17 July 2019.
The great news is that these changes aren’t just legal updates, they also allow us to launch a digital money account for our UK customers – it’s a new service on our app that lets you send, receive and store money with us.
|
| | | | |
| What are the changes? |
| | | |
| (1) relevant information for if you choose to use our new digital money account. If you’d like to find out more about the service and what it can do for you, just click here;
(2) important wording required by the European Payment Services Directive (PD2) and Electronic Money Directive in relation to topics such as storing digital money, access to and protection of electronic payment accounts and the timeframes for payees to receive payments;
(3) updated wording in relation to the extent of our liability to you in circumstances in which unauthorised payments are made. As part of this, you are obliged to take reasonable steps to keep the details you use to access our service safe to prevent their fraudulent use. The terms will govern how we assess if you are entitled to a refund, and if so, the amount; and
(4) simplifications to the terms to make them easier to understand and clarifications of some provisions to ensure they are in line with legal requirements.
It’s well worth printing the updated terms and conditions for future reference. |
| | | |
| You can view a copy of the new terms and conditions, which will apply from 17 July 2019, at the top of this page and via the button above.
The new terms are above the current terms and conditions, which will remain effective until then. On 17 July 2019 the current terms and conditions will be removed and replaced in full by the new ones. There is also an FAQ here if you have any questions.
If you choose to continue using our services or start using the digital money account after 17 July 2019, it will be deemed that you’ve accepted these changes, and the new terms and conditions will apply to our services.
Thank you for choosing to send with us.
Best wishes, Your WorldRemit team
